What is a Laser Micropeel?
As a superior alternative to microdermabrasions and chemical peels, Laser Micropeels offer exfoliation of the top layer of damaged skin to improve irregularities such as skin texture and discoloration. At Parva Plastic Surgery in Northern Virginia, Laser micropeels are performed with a safe and highly effective, erbium laser known as Sciton.
“I highly recommend Parva Plastic Surgery for surgery or skin care. Any time I visit their office it is a pleasure. Their entire staff has the best customer service of any office I have ever been in. Don’t be ashamed or embarrassed to give them a call. You will 100% feel better about yourself after going. They are superb at what they do. You won’t regret it! :)”
How does Laser Micropeel work?
Laser Micropeels are performed with gentle Laser settings that effectively remove thin layers of aged and damaged skin. The dead skin cells are then replaced by healthier cells, enhancing the texture and clarity of the skin. Laser micropeels are considered less invasive than laser resurfacing.

What should I expect during a Laser Micropeel?
Before your Laser Micropeel treatment, a topical numbing agent is applied to the treatment area for 30 minutes to provide comfort. As the treatment takes place, you will feel small bursts of heat, followed by a sunburn sensation. Immediately after your treatment, cool compresses and soothing ointment are applied to the face for additional comfort. Laser Micropeel treatments last 20 minutes and are commonly combined with BroadBand light (BBL) and ProFractional Laser.
What should I expect after a Laser Micropeel?
Laser Micropeel treatments are safe, effective and gently address a variety of skin conditions without requiring anesthesia or a lengthy recovery period. After the skin heals within a few days, you will notice that the texture of your skin is smoother and softer and your skin tone is more vibrant and even.
